by As a rule, tuning a Niva involves preparing the car for serious off-roading. This is not the type of vehicle you typically modify for stance. However, this is exactly how the VAZ-2121 was modified in Krasnodar.
This old 1984 Niva has seen a lot over its lifetime, as it was frequently used for traveling. Then, the car stood abandoned on the street for 10 years, and it was decided to use the SUV for an unusual project.
Tuning of the Niva was carried out in stages. First, in 2012, the VAZ-2121 was lowered, and three years later, it was equipped with an air suspension and a Berkut R20 compressor.
Then, the chassis was overhauled: the Niva received a front suspension from a Toyota Altezza and a rear one from a BMW E21. Stylish 17-inch Zauber Dish wheels with tires measuring 245/40 ZR17 were also added.
Last year, a 1.8-liter Toyota JZX90 4S-FE engine with 130 hp was installed under the hood. An automatic transmission was also installed, and a sunroof was added to the roof.
The tuned Niva is already impressive, and the project is not yet finished. One can only imagine what else its creators plan to surprise us with.
