A very unusual roadster is for sale in the USA. According to the documents, it is a 1973 Porsche 914, although at first glance it does not resemble the mid-engine Porsche convertible of the 70s.
The car, named Porsche 914-8 GTS, received a completely new fiberglass body with a design in the spirit of the 90s. It has a wedge-shaped profile, and a rear wing appeared in the back. Interestingly, the headlights were borrowed from the Chrysler 300M, and the taillights from the Chevrolet Corvette C5.
In the interior, only a few buttons and switches and mats remain from the Porsche 914. The steering wheel, seats, and instruments were borrowed from other cars.
The tuning of the Porsche also includes an engine swap – a 5.7-liter V8 from the same Corvette replaced the boxer four. There is also a new 5-speed manual transmission.
Now this sports car is on sale for $12,000. By the way, a well-maintained Porsche 914 is currently somewhat more expensive.
