Updated Arona and Ibiza models
The company Seat has officially presented updated versions of the Arona and Ibiza models. Both cars received a fresher design, modernized interiors, and additional standard equipment.
Design changes in the Arona
The Arona crossover received a more expressive front end with a new radiator grille featuring a hexagonal mesh pattern. It is complemented by slimmer LED headlights, which have become brighter and have a greater light range compared to their predecessors.
The model was also equipped with a sportier front bumper and relocated fog lights. Among other updates are standard LED rear lights, a dark aluminum diffuser, ‘handwritten’ emblems, and updated alloy wheels ranging from 16 to 18 inches.
Clients will also be able to choose from three new colors: Liminal, Oniric, and Hypnotic. Additionally, contrasting roofs in Midnight Black or the new Manhattan Grey are available.
Interior updates
The changes in the interior are minor, but a new audio system with six speakers and embossed textile inserts on the seats have appeared. A perforated leather steering wheel and a 15W wireless smartphone charger with cooling were also added. An 8-inch digital instrument panel and an 8.25-inch multimedia system are installed as standard, while a 10.25-inch panel and a 9.2-inch system are optionally available.
Engines and transmissions
Under the hood, three TSI engines are offered, including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder with 94 hp, which is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. A more powerful 113 hp version with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG robotic gearbox is also available.
The top of the line is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 150 hp, which is exclusively equipped with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
Updates for the Ibiza
The Ibiza hatchback received similar updates, including a new radiator grille and slimmer headlights. Updated wheels and a sportier front bumper with larger air intakes and a lower central opening have also appeared.
The changes also affected the rear – the new bumper has a horizontal accent that visually widens the car. Standard LED rear lights, a darkened license plate niche, and the ‘Ibiza’ inscription were also added. The color palette is updated similarly to the crossover.
Interior and additional options
The Ibiza interior also received a perforated leather steering wheel, embossed seats, new soft inserts, textile door panels, and a darker headliner for a more immersive feel. The screens, audio system, and charging device are similar to those installed in the Arona.
Engine for the Ibiza
The engines for the Ibiza repeat those offered for the crossover, but one more variant has been added – a 1.0-liter three-cylinder MPI engine with 79 hp, which is paired exclusively with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Production and launch
Both models will be manufactured in Barcelona, and their market launch is scheduled for January 2026.
These updates demonstrate Seat’s desire to increase the competitiveness of its popular models on the European market. The introduction of new technologies, such as an improved multimedia system and more environmentally friendly engines, corresponds to modern trends in the automotive industry. It is expected that the updated Arona and Ibiza will be able to attract new clients thanks to the combination of stylish design, conveniences, and an affordable pricing policy.
