A collection inspired by the past
The Vanquish 25 is not the only rare Aston Martin model to appear at this year’s Monterey Car Week. Ahead of the event, the British brand unveiled the Heritage Collection. It is a series of cars created together with Aston Martin Newport Beach and the Q by Aston Martin division. Each car has been given a finish inspired by the company’s historical catalog rather than its current price list.
The series consists of just five examples. It is based on the DB12 Coupe, DB12 Volante, Vanquish Coupe, Vantage Coupe, and Vantage Roadster. Each car is painted in a special color that Aston Martin offered in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s and which is currently absent from the brand’s regular palette.
Pink, blue, and green
Leading the five is a DB12 Volante in Pale Primrose. This shade was used for the DB4 and appeared on the cover of the DB4 brochure back in 1958. Inside this example are dark open-pore wood inlays, Q Heritage embroidery on the center armrest, and signature Heritage Edition sill plaques.
Alongside this convertible debuts a special DB12 in Pacific Blue. This shade was previously offered for the DB4, DB5, and DB6. It also features the same interior accents: wood inlays, embroidery, and sill plaques.
Vanquish and Vantage in rare shades
The one-of-a-kind Vanquish Coupe created by the Q division is painted in Tudor Green, a color from Aston Martin’s 1970s palette. It is also the first Vanquish to receive the signature Q perforated fluted seats. The same seats are installed in the other four Heritage Collection models.
Completing the series are a Vantage Coupe in Winchester Blue, another 1970s shade, and a Vantage Roadster in Mink Silver, inspired by a color offered for the DB6. Both Vantage models also feature exquisite perforated fluted seats.
A look into the past as new value
Series like the Heritage Collection allow Aston Martin not only to honor its own heritage but also to create an exclusive product for the most discerning clients. For collectors, cars with historical colors and unique interior finishes are often more valuable than standard versions, because each example has its own story and is not repeated.
It is also worth noting that selling these cars through a single dealer, Aston Martin Newport Beach, makes the series even more local. All five cars can be seen live only in California, so potential buyers will have to compete for the right to own a piece of the British brand’s history.
