Chevy Honors the American Spirit, But One Car is Missing from Their Lineup

The year 2026 will be significant for America as the country celebrates its 250th anniversary. The Chevrolet automotive brand has decided to join the celebration by introducing the new Stars & Steel collection.

This series, created to honor patriotism and American craftsmanship, includes the Corvette, Colorado, Silverado, Silverado HD, and Silverado EV models. All of them, unlike the planned Canadian version of the Chrysler, are assembled in the United States.

Corvette Stars & Steel

The collection begins with the Corvette. The car will be offered in Arctic White or Black with full-length stripes inspired by the US flag, in Satin Silver or Satin Black hues.

These are complemented by black exhaust tips and graphics with the number “250” on the doors and spoiler. The special edition will also receive wheels in Gloss Black, Carbon Flash, or carbon fiber, which will contrast with the Edge Red brake calipers.

The interior in Santorini Blue or Adrenaline Red will feature special sill plates and a numbered plaque. Certain versions will also receive red seatbelts and floor mats with red contrast stitching.

Production is limited to 250 units, and the package will be available for all models—from the Stingray to the ZR1X—but only in the 3LT/3LZ trims.

Colorado Stars & Steel

Chevrolet Colorado Stars & Steel Edition

The Colorado Stars & Steel version will be based on the Trail Boss Crew Cab and will have an exterior in Black or Summit White. It will receive graphics similar to the Corvette, dark emblems, and gloss black 20-inch wheels. Among other features are a black exhaust tip, red tow hooks, and the Midnight package with a sport bar and auxiliary lighting.

Buyers will also receive a cargo bed liner, a soft tonneau cover, and running boards. Other equipment includes four-wheel drive, a skid plate, and additional options.

Silverado 1500 Stars & Steel

The Silverado 1500 Stars & Steel version is based on the RST Crew Cab Short Box 4WD with a 6.2-liter V8 engine. It is offered in Black or Summit White with the aforementioned graphics and 22-inch gloss black wheels. The latter are paired with a Brembo braking system and red six-piston front calipers.

The model also features black exhaust tips, side steps, and a cargo bed cover. This is complemented by a sport air filter, a body liner, and additional equipment, including a sunroof.

Silverado HD Stars & Steel

The Silverado HD Stars & Steel version is based on the LTZ Crew Cab Trail Boss 4WD and is equipped with a 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine. It is offered in black or white with the familiar graphics, a body liner, and 20-inch wheels. The model also includes a range of packages, among them the Z71 Off-Road Package, LTZ Convenience Package II, and the Max Trailering Package.

Silverado EV Stars & Steel

Finally, there is an electric version, the Silverado EV Stars & Steel Edition. It is based on the RST Crew Cab and repeats the features of the other models in the series. However, the car received 24-inch wheels, black emblems, and a completely new Brembo braking system. The latter features larger, 15.7-inch rotors, as well as red six-piston front calipers.

Stars & Steel Appearance Package

Since five special versions were not enough, Chevrolet also announced the Stars & Steel Appearance Package. Designed for the brand’s popular pickup truck lineup, it adds stripes in Satin Silver or Satin Black and graphics with the number “250”.

Unique Corvette ZR1X for Auction

Chevrolet also announced plans to auction a “one-of-a-kind” 2026 Corvette ZR1X. The auction will take place on January 24th in Scottsdale. The car will feature a design inspired by the Stars and Steel series, and 100% of the sale proceeds will be directed to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Production of the special editions will begin in the spring of next year. For every car sold, Chevrolet will donate $250 to non-profit organizations that support veterans.

Chevrolet Stars & Steel Collection

This large-scale initiative by Chevrolet clearly demonstrates the trend towards personalization and the creation of limited series, especially in the context of important national events. The emphasis on local production and support for veterans is an important component of the marketing campaign, appealing to patriotic sentiments. Such collections often become collectible items, which can significantly impact their future market value, especially concerning the unique Corvette ZR1X intended for auction.
