Chevrolet Introduces the Most Powerful Corvette in History — ZR1X
Technical Features
The new Corvette ZR1X sets an absolute record among the brand’s production models. It is equipped with a flat-plane crank V8, two 76 mm turbochargers, and an electric motor that drives the front wheels. Combined, this system produces 1250 hp and 1121 Nm of torque.
According to official data, the car is capable of covering a quarter mile in less than 9 seconds. This makes it one of the fastest production cars in the world.
Comparison with Competitors
Compared to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS at a similar price, the Corvette demonstrates significantly better performance figures. The German sports car accelerates to 60 mph in 3 seconds, while the ZR1X is almost twice as fast.
“This is not just an update — it’s a new standard in the world of supercars,” states the official Chevrolet release.
The Ferrari SF90, which costs twice as much, falls short of the American car both in power and acceleration dynamics. Another competitor — the Mustang GTD — although it showed impressive results at the Nürburgring, its price is $70,000 higher.
Interestingly, with all its power, the ZR1X remains a “true” Corvette — it is still assembled in Kentucky, unlike the “Canadian” Mustang GTD. This could be a decisive argument for fans of the American auto industry. Considering the technical specifications and price, the new offering from Chevrolet has every chance to become the new leader in its class.
