What awaits the new Nissan Rogue in 2026

Updates for the 2026 Nissan Rogue

Nissan is preparing updates for its most popular crossover in the USA — the Rogue. In 2025, over 245 thousand units were sold, which exceeds the figures of other brand models such as the Pathfinder, Murano, and Kicks combined.

The updated 2026 version is expected to go into production next month and will arrive at dealerships in August. Among the main novelties is a special Dark Armor version based on the SV trim, which is likely to feature a black exterior design.

Changes in trims and prices

A new Cold Weather package will appear for the SV version, including heated seats and steering wheel. However, some other packages, such as Premium and Technology, will be removed from the list of available options. At the same time, the Rock Creek version is expected to become cheaper, although the exact figures are not yet known.

Only an all-wheel-drive version will be offered in the top Platinum trim, making it more exclusive.

The technical specifications are likely to remain unchanged: a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower paired with a CVT. Fuel consumption will be up to 37 miles per gallon on the highway.

A completely new generation of the Rogue is expected no earlier than 2027. It will receive an e-Power hybrid powertrain, where a gasoline engine will act as a generator to charge the battery, which will power the electric motors.

The recent changes to the model are aimed at increasing the Rogue’s appeal to buyers, especially in the face of growing competition in the crossover market. Price reductions for certain versions and the addition of new options could make the car even more popular among American drivers.
