What is Revealed in This Porsche Design Box Could Destroy All Your Savings

Luxury TVs That Unfold

When you look at your elegant Samsung or Sony TV, does the thought ever occur to you: “Nice, but what if it could rise from the floor like a monolith from science fiction, resembling TARS from the movie ‘Interstellar’?” If such a specific desire has ever arisen, then the complex C-Seed TV, developed in collaboration with Porsche Design, might be exactly what you didn’t know you were waiting for.

Key features of these devices:

Impressive Technology at a High Price

However, there is a catch. Like most things created to impress and exceed expectations, it has its price. And not a small one. Before you start imagining this thing in your living room, consider: it costs more than three new Porsche 911 Carreras combined. This model starts from $135,500.

Sculptural Installation Instead of a Regular TV

These amazing screens, available in several sizes and designed for both indoor and outdoor use, resemble a sculptural installation more than something you would watch the next Super Bowl on. The models, known as N1 and M1, lie horizontally when inactive, taking on the appearance of a futuristic cabinet or, as mentioned earlier, something straight out of a sci-fi movie.

However, with the press of a button, the display automatically rotates to a vertical position. After that, each of the five micro-LED panels (or seven for the outdoor version) begins to unfold, revealing a screen that, according to the manufacturer, offers “amazingly bright colors” and a brightness of 1000 nits.

Audio is also not overlooked. Each screen includes a built-in full-range audio system, so there’s no need to clutter the space with cheap soundbars or surround sound systems to get the most out of it. It’s all part of an integrated package.

Indoor and Outdoor Versions

The outdoor version operates almost the same as the indoor model but can be equipped with a taller column, a six-speaker audio system, and can even retract into an underground compartment when not in use.

Indoor models can be ordered in huge configurations of 165, 137, and 103 inches, but those with more money can order even a 221-inch display. Outdoor models are available in 201 and 144-inch sizes, and there is even a version designed for the ultra-wealthy to add to the decks of their superyachts.

Adding one of these devices to your living room, backyard, or private floating estate will cost approximately $400,000. For some, this is a lifetime’s earnings, but for those deep enough in the billionaire niche, it’s another item on a well-thought-out wish list.

This product clearly demonstrates how entertainment technologies are evolving towards architectural objects and luxury items. It not only changes the concept of a home theater but also becomes a central element of interior or landscape design. Despite the extreme price, such innovations often set trends that later penetrate more mass-market segments, improving standards for image quality, design, and the integration of technology into living spaces.
