BMW Group prepares a series of premieres at the Munich Motor Show
Next month, the Munich Motor Show will start, and BMW Group plans to impress the public with a series of premieres. In addition to the already announced BMW iX3, MINI will show two new concepts.
The British brand has not yet revealed details but confirmed that “two impressive concepts will celebrate their world premiere in Munich as part of an exciting presentation.” The company also hinted that the concepts will be aggressive, as they “visually emphasize the role of motorsport as a defining element of MINI’s DNA.”
New BMW iX3 – a revolution in electric vehicles
The main premiere will be the iX3, which BMW calls “one of the most important new cars in its history.” It will mark the beginning of the second era of Neue Klasse, receiving a bold design and an advanced powertrain.
The crossover will use new cylindrical battery cells with 20% higher energy density compared to current prismatic cells. Thanks to this, the iX3 50 xDrive will have a range of up to 400 miles (800 km according to the WLTP standard).
The car will also feature bidirectional charging and the capability for 400 kW fast charging, which will allow replenishing over 217 miles (350 km) of range in just 10 minutes. Among other innovations are more efficient engines, Panoramic iDrive, and a new generation of driver assistance systems using artificial intelligence.
For historical context, BMW Classic will bring the 1961 1500 model – the first car of the original Neue Klasse line. The company will also show other eco-friendly models, including the i4, i5, i7, iX, and the M5 Touring hybrid.
BMW Motorrad will present the CE 02 and the Vision CE concept, which, according to the company, “offers an exciting glimpse into how developers and designers imagine the future of fully electric scooters for large cities.”
These premieres demonstrate how the BMW Group combines its rich history with innovative future technologies. Particular attention is drawn to the iX3, which could become a new standard in the world of electric vehicles thanks to revolutionary battery technology. MINI, in turn, continues to emphasize its sporting heritage through aggressive concepts.
