Something in the Ferrari Purosangue may imperceptibly worsen brake performance

Ferrari recalls over 500 Purosangue due to brake problems

The Italian manufacturer Ferrari has announced a recall of 541 Purosangue model vehicles due to a potential malfunction that could reduce brake effectiveness. The problem arose from possible contact between the fuse box and the passenger-side footrest, leading to a short circuit. If a malfunction occurs, the driver will see a warning on the instrument panel with a recommendation to contact a dealer immediately.

The company assures that the brakes do not fail completely, but their effectiveness can be significantly reduced. To resolve the issue, Ferrari plans to install a special spacer that will prevent contact between the parts. Repairs will begin on September 21, 2025.

This is not the first time premium brands have faced technical problems. However, Ferrari’s swift response indicates the company’s high safety standards.

The incident occurred in China, where one of the Purosangue vehicles has already encountered this problem. Fortunately, there was no accident or injuries. Owners of the affected vehicles are advised to pay attention to warnings on the instrument panel until the malfunction is fixed.

For Ferrari, such a number of recalls is a rare occurrence, given its limited production volumes. The Purosangue, which the company persistently calls not an SUV but a “true Ferrari,” has been one of the brand’s most anticipated innovations. This situation may affect the model’s reputation, although a swift resolution should minimize the consequences.
