Unique Six-Wheel Pickup with a Cummins Engine
Many car enthusiasts make modifications to their vehicles, but some take it to a whole new level. The Over Evolved Cab is a prime example of this approach. What was once a 1991 Dodge D250 has now been transformed into a six-wheel pickup with a Cummins engine, as if a Hot Wheels model has come to life. The most amazing thing is that anyone with enough funds can now purchase it.
Unusual Design and Components
This car, created by Aaron Buck of Milk Man Concepts, combines parts from various brands. The cab is taken from a Ford, and the body is handcrafted from steel and mounted on a custom tubular chassis. The blue paint from House of Kolor with a patina effect and copper accents complements the overall look. Teardrop-shaped taillights harmoniously blend with the angular elements at the front.
Under the hood is a 5.9-liter Cummins 6BT turbo diesel engine taken from a 1991 Dodge D250. The inline six-cylinder engine has 12 valves, is equipped with a Holset HX35 turbocharger, Bosch injectors, and a rebuilt injection pump. Power is transmitted through a four-speed 46RH automatic transmission to the middle axle pair. The rear axle is non-driving and is installed purely for aesthetics.
The vehicle’s suspension is custom: Slam Specialties airbags are installed on each wheel, with an independent suspension using Dakota spindles at the front and double four-link systems at the rear. Massive 24-inch wheels at the front and 28-inch wheels at the rear are fitted with ultra-low-profile tires.
Interior and Details
The car’s interior is as impressive as the exterior. The dashboard and center console are handmade and styled to match the exterior. The seats look unique, although they are probably not very comfortable. However, not everything is perfect: some instruments, including the speedometer, do not work.
The vehicle is registered as a 1991 Dodge D250 and has a clean Carfax history and a Florida title. For Hot Wheels fans, this is a unique opportunity to own a real, drivable car.
The auction is already active, with the highest bid reaching $90,000. This six-wheel diesel project is a true dream for enthusiasts, but its price may be too high for many.
This project demonstrates how creative tuners can be, combining technologies from different decades into a single, impressive automobile. The use of a Cummins engine, renowned for its reliability, makes this model not only good-looking but also practical for daily use. However, as with many custom projects, there are certain technical shortcomings, such as non-functional instruments, which may indicate the complexity of integrating different systems.
