Quick Car Wash Led to Driver Being Trapped in Endless Rotation

Unexpected Adventure at the Car Wash

A Pennsylvania woman found herself in an unusual situation, trapped inside an automatic car wash in the city of Waynesboro. Her goal was to wash off the salt and traces of winter weather from her car, but the visit turned into an hour-long confinement.

System Malfunction

After the car entered the wash bay, the doors closed and the usual cleaning cycle began. However, halfway through, the system malfunctioned. Felicia Sullivan found herself in a difficult situation: the doors would not open manually, the emergency button also failed to work, and attempts to attract the attention of other customers by knocking on the doors proved futile.

Long Wait for Help

According to media reports, the woman spent about 15 minutes trapped before deciding to call the police. The arrival of law enforcement took another 45 minutes, after which they were able to free the driver and her car.

Reaction to the Incident

Despite the stressful situation, Felicia Sullivan took it all with humor, noting that sometimes troubles happen, but in this case, no one was hurt. The car wash owner, for his part, tried to compensate for the moral damage by giving the victim a series of gift cards.

Happy Ending and Potential Risks

This story had a happy ending, which is not always the case. Car washes sometimes become a place not only for cleaning but also for damage. In the past, there have been cases where drivers accidentally opened the trunk during washing or mistakenly pressed the gas pedal, causing chain-reaction accidents. Such incidents remind us of the importance of following safety rules and being attentive, even during such routine procedures. Technical failures, as this case showed, can happen unexpectedly, so it’s always worth knowing where the emergency mechanisms are located and having a communication device at hand.
