Speedy Mustang GT500 Loses Rear End While Leaving Meet

Shelby GT500 Crash After Performing a Burnout

Video from a car meet in Colorado shows a Shelby GT500 driver performing a burnout before leaving but soon loses control of the car. At first, everything was going well: the car started with tire smoke, but then it began to sway uncontrollably. As a result, the Mustang sharply turned left, hitting the curb.

The consequences of the accident turned out to be serious: the front wheel was broken, the tire came off the rim, and the rear axle was displaced, resembling a “crab walk.” Interestingly, judging by the stickers, this GT500 belongs to a social media-famous car enthusiast who had owned it for only about two months. Previous posts from this account show that the driver had experience handling powerful cars like the Chevrolet ZR1 and Ford F-150 Lightning.

“Oh, you better drive that thing right,” was heard from the crowd before the incident.

The causes of the accident remain unclear: the road was clear, and no external obstacles were observed. Perhaps the driver overestimated his abilities or simply couldn’t handle the power of the 760-horsepower engine. This case is yet another reminder of how unpredictable powerful cars can be, especially during aggressive driving.
