The blue McLaren 720S from 2017 is not just a sports coupe but a car capable of competing with the world’s fastest vehicles. Its 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo produces 720 horsepower and 770 N∙m of torque. Thanks to a seven-speed ‘robot’ [automatic transmission], the supercar accelerates to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed reaching 340 km/h. Moreover, the owner couldn’t resist tuning—the model was modified to match the style of the exclusive McLaren 765 LT.
Next to it is a yellow Audi R8 from 2016. At its heart works a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 from Lamborghini with 610 “horses” and 560 N∙m. The quattro all-wheel-drive system allows it to accelerate to one hundred [km/h] in 3.2 seconds and confidently hold the road even at a speed of 330 km/h.
Interestingly, both cars cost approximately $400,000 when new, and now they not only adorn Kyiv’s streets but also evoke admiration for their symbolism—a yellow-and-blue pair that looks like a true auto-manifestation of Ukrainian strength and style.
Although it’s unknown whether this is a coincidence or the owners’ intention, the combination of McLaren and Audi in the national colors looks more impressive than any commercial.
