In the first month of the new customs clearance rules, 11,000 cars with foreign plates received Ukrainian registration. This statistic was published by the State Fiscal Service. 
According to the SFS, all of these cars were imported into the customs territory of Ukraine starting from January 1, 2015. Of the 9,600 non-customs cleared cars, transit or temporary import terms were violated, resulting in their owners paying a fine of 8,500 hryvnias, which in total increased the budget by 81.5 million hryvnias. After some setbacks in the first weeks, the pace of customs clearance has been continuously increasing.
On just one day, December 26, 1,400 cars received Ukrainian plates.
