This Cabinet decision is due to the fact that previously a motorist’s ability to choose a personalized number was limited. In particular, there were only 18 combinations of four consecutive identical digits (1111, 2222, 3333, 4444, 5555, 6666, 7777, 8888, 9999) and within the range from 0001 to 0009. Less cool numbers with three consecutive digits or digits in order were issued in the general order, which created opportunities for corruption.
Now you can buy an individual number of four identical digits or a combination from 0001 to 0009 for 30 thousand UAH. A sign of four digits, three of which are consecutive identical will cost 10 thousand UAH, the same amount is needed for a number with two pairs of identical digits. Beautiful car numbers with sequential digits (0123 or 1234) will cost 8000 hryvnias, and signs of four digits, three of which are identical, but not consecutive – 4000 UAH. A number in which the first and third, as well as the second and fourth or the first and fourth and the second and third digits are the same, was also valued at 4000 UAH. The Cabinet also decided that the issuance or replacement of all specified numbers from this list for passenger cars belonging to government bodies will cost only 300 UAH.
