Forbes calculated the financial losses of the aggressor. Since the start of the war on February 24, the Ukrainian army has destroyed 1,902 units of enemy equipment. The total cost of all lost Russian equipment in the war with Ukraine is estimated at $3 billion.
Among other things, Ukrainian forces destroyed 33 planes, 37 helicopters, 251 tanks, and 939 armored fighting vehicles. Tanks alone cost Russia 1 billion dollars, while planes and helicopters amounted to 1.1 billion dollars. This is an approximate price.

Forbes took the unit cost of equipment from open sources. For example, the price of a tank in the calculations is $4 million, at which price Russia supplied tanks to Algeria in 2006. It is not yet known which planes were shot down. Among those used by Russia, the Su-25 costs $11 million, the Su-30 — $33 million, and the Su-34 — $36 million. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also shot down two large Il-76 transport aircraft near Valkiv and Kropyvnytskyi. Each costs $86 million.
