The Japanese publication Best Car reported that the release of the new Toyota compact SUV, which the media has already dubbed the “younger brother of Prado“, is being postponed from the autumn of this year to the spring of next year.
The project was first introduced back in 2023, but after the announcement, the company revealed almost no details. Now it has become known that the future model will have a frame structure, like the Fortuner and Hilux pickup, and not like the more comfortable Land Cruiser 300 and 250.

The SUV will also receive permanent all-wheel drive and a wide selection of accessories for travel and active recreation.
The new model is expected to complement the Land Cruiser lineup by offering a more affordable option for fans of true off-roading.
