The 1968 BMW 2002 coupe has already become a collectible model. However, this did not prevent the Gruppe5 studio from turning it into a rocket. While it’s still a project, the Germans plan to release as many as 300 of these cars. 
The tuning of the BMW 2002 turned out to be very thorough. The car’s chassis will be completely redesigned, and most body panels will be made of carbon.
This will reduce the car’s weight to one ton. 
The aggressive body kit, widened fenders, and large rear wing are eye-catching. Inside the cabin, there will be a safety cage, bucket seats, and a digital dashboard. 
The car will be equipped with a modified BMW S85 engine. Recall that such a V10 was installed on the BMW M5 E60, but Gruppe5 decided to bore it out.
The initial 5.8-liter variant will develop 740 hp, while the more advanced 5.9-liter will produce 800 hp. In both cases, a 6-speed sequential gearbox is installed.
