The BMW M5 E39 with no mileage is a true time capsule. And such cars, as you know, are highly valued among a certain category of car enthusiasts. Therefore, it is not surprising that the current owner of the M5 from the early 2000s intends to sell it for 140-180 thousand dollars.
For comparison, the new BMW M5 2018 costs from 117,900 euros. The charged sedan from 2002 was purchased by Glen Conley, a BMW collector with one strange habit. He always buys two cars – one for driving, the other for preservation.
As you already understood, the “preserved” BMW M5 E39 will be sold at auction.
The car being sold has less than 1000 km on the odometer, and features from cars of the late 90s-early 2000s include a cassette player. As a gift, there is a videotape with an advertisement for the E39 “five-series” family.
Recall, the M5 in the E39 body was produced from 1998-2003. For that time it was a very fast model, as it was equipped with a 5-liter V8 (although it’s more accurate to say 4.9 liters) with 400 horsepower. Acceleration of the M5 E39 is 5.3 seconds to one hundred. The total circulation of cars produced is 20,482 copies.
