In this monster, the GAZ-66 is not immediately recognized – if only because its cabin is taken from the ZIL-131. It’s hard to believe, but the pickup was built to clear roads in the village from snow.
The huge pickup was built by master Sergey Vinogradov from Vitebsk, Belarus. The frame chassis of the GAZ-66 was fitted with two cabins and a hood from the ZIL-131, as well as a body from the SsangYong Actyon Sports. Massive steel bumpers, a vertical exhaust, and huge wheels from an HTZ tractor were also added.
The axles, transfer case, and all-wheel drive transmission remained from the GAZ-66, but the MMZ D-245 engine was removed from the ZIL “Bychok”. The pickup can reach about 90 km/h and consumes 20 l/100 km. Of course, in terms of dynamics, it is far from the ZIL Akademik, but this beast looks bright.
