From RM Sotheby’s auction, a 1998 Porsche 911 Turbo was sold. The Porsche 911’s price was surprising – $3.12 million. Of course, the model has become collectible, but not to the extent of costing the same as a Bugatti Chiron.
The matter is that this Porsche 911 Turbo is special. It was meticulously restored at Porsche Classic division.
It was disassembled into parts and then reassembled. Porsche 993 Project Gold (as the car is named) came out as new, or even better.
The car’s appearance is marked by black wheel rims and an exclusive golden color, like modern Porsche 911 Turbo. The interior now features contrasting golden stitching.

In addition, the Porsche 911 Turbo underwent an engine swap.
Specifically, the old 3.6-liter air-cooled turbocharged flat-six engine was replaced with the same, just newer. The power was also increased from 408 to 450 hp. As before, the Porsche sports car is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive.
