Stellantis continues to support Maserati with limited series

New Maserati Grecale Lumina Blu special series

Maserati continues to expand the range of special versions of its Grecale SUV by introducing a new model called Lumina Blu. This is another limited series that differs mainly in design changes rather than technical updates.

The main features of the novelty include:

Design and finish

Externally, the car received a purple color, which the manufacturer calls “elegant Night Interaction livery.” Black elements emphasize the radiator grille, sills, door handles, and window surrounds. The model also comes with 21-inch Pegaso wheels, yellow brake calipers, and corresponding Trident emblems on the pillars.

The version without Modena badges features chrome details and different wheel disks but retains the same purple shade and yellow accents.

Interior and technologies

The interior offers premium leather in Chocolate (brown) or Ghiaccio (white) colors. Both options include wood inserts on the center console and door panels, a panoramic sunroof, and steel pedals. Standard equipment includes matrix LED headlights, electric seats with heating and ventilation, heated steering wheel, power tailgate, and 360-degree camera.

Technical specifications

No changes in performance have occurred. The car is equipped with the same mild hybrid 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 325 hp. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a mechanical limited-slip differential controls the rear axle.

Availability and price

Maserati has not yet announced the price for this special series, but dealers will likely be ready for negotiations. For those seeking even more exclusivity, there is the Fuoriserie division, which can customize the Grecale almost to order.

This strategy of continuously releasing special versions allows Maserati to maintain interest in its models without significant investments in technical updates. The focus on design and exclusivity can be effective for attracting buyers who value uniqueness, but at the same time raises questions about the brand’s innovativeness in the competitive premium car market.
