Stellantis Developed a Concept Car Available for Driving in Gran Turismo

Opel Corsa GSE Concept Car

Opel has presented an interesting concept, which it announced last week. This is not a production model for sale, but a unique Opel Corsa GSE, created for the Gran Turismo 7 game, where it will appear this year.

Technical Features

Like other models in the Vision GT series, the Corsa GSE far surpasses what Opel offers to buyers. It is equipped with two electric motors, each with 476 hp, located on the axles, providing a combined 800 hp. This enables acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 2 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. An overboost function of 80 hp is also available, which can be used for four seconds.

Power for the motors is provided by an 82 kWh battery. Thanks to its lightweight construction, the car weighs only 1170 kg.

Design and Exterior

The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Grand Turismo features unique details that make it lower and wider compared to the standard Corsa, despite similar dimensions. Key design elements include widened arches, an updated Vizor grille, as well as a large rear spoiler and a pronounced diffuser.

Interior and Functionality

The interior is also radical: a lightweight driver’s seat with six-point harnesses and sensors that warn about other cars on the road. If a car enters the blind spot, a warning appears on the special illuminated fabric of the dashboard and door inserts.

Future of GSE Models

Although this concept will remain a prototype, Opel emphasizes that it is a “preview of future GSE models.” The brand recently revived its sports line with the Mokka GSE, which develops 278 hp and 345 Nm of torque, accelerating to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.

This concept demonstrates how manufacturers are experimenting with virtual environments to test radical ideas that could influence future production models. Lightweight construction, power, and innovative safety systems point to trends that could become relevant for electric vehicles in the next decade.
