Tesla incentives for Cybertruck resemble fire sales disguised as lucrative offers

Tesla launches special offers for Cybertruck

Tesla is implementing a series of incentives for the sale of its Cybertruck electric pickup. Among them are a free transfer of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system to the new car, discounts exceeding $3000, and the possibility of obtaining a loan at 0% APR.

By the end of September, the federal electric vehicle tax credit will expire in the USA, which is why Tesla is actively trying to sell off its existing inventory. Particular attention is paid to the Cybertruck model, although it is still unclear whether these measures will significantly increase demand.

Offer details

Most Cybertrucks from Tesla’s inventory are being sold at a discount. Furthermore, for clients who lease the vehicle, 20-inch Cyber Wheels with all-terrain tires are being installed as standard.

All new Teslas, including Cybertruck, receive a free one-month trial of the Full Self-Driving system

The 0% APR loan is available only to buyers with an impeccable credit history who finance the full cost of FSD and make a down payment of at least 4% of the value. Special terms are also in effect for military personnel, medical workers, teachers, and students – they are offered an additional $1000 discount.

The FSD system is traditionally tied to a specific vehicle, but currently, Tesla allows it to be transferred for free to a new Cybertruck. This is a rare promotion that previously did not apply to this model.

The offers look attractive, especially for those who have long planned to purchase a Cybertruck. However, the limited duration of some promotions and the credit history requirements may reduce the number of clients who can take advantage of these benefits. At the same time, the inclusion of Cybertruck in the FSD transfer program may indicate a shift in the company’s approach to this feature.
