Subaru Solterra 2027: Prices remain stable, and features remain powerful
At a time when it seems every new car model costs more than its predecessor, Subaru is once again breaking this trend by keeping prices for its electric crossover Solterra unchanged.
After significant updates for 2026, the Subaru Solterra 2027 remains almost unchanged. All versions are equipped with a 74.7 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 288 miles (463 km). Two electric motors and all-wheel drive are standard across all trims, but the base Premium and Limited versions have 233 hp, while the Limited XT and Touring XT develop 338 hp.
The more powerful version recently lost a title it held briefly. It was the fastest production Subaru with a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of 4.9 seconds, until the new Trailseeker model posted a result of 4.4 seconds.
Trims and equipment
The base Solterra Premium starts at $38,495, unchanged from the previous year. However, it does not include the five-year trial period of SubaruConnect Safety and Remote services, which are available in more expensive trims. Standard equipment includes 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, leather steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and a 14-inch infotainment display. Water-repellent Black StarTex upholstery is standard.
Prices for the Limited and Limited XT are $41,395 and $42,895 respectively. Both offer the same set of features, except that the XT uses a 338 hp powertrain. Additional features compared to the Premium include a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and a Harman Kardon audio system. A key change for 2027: all models painted in Elemental Red Pearl are paired exclusively with gray StarTex upholstery, while versions in Midnight Tide Mica color have black StarTex upholstery.
Top trim and paint options
The Touring XT trim remains at the top of the lineup, now starting at $45,855. This is $300 more than last year, but only because black and blue leather is now included in the standard equipment. If you ordered a 2026 model with the then-optional leather, you would have paid the same amount.

By keeping the cost at the 2026 level, the company is effectively making its electric vehicle more affordable for buyers seeking stability. At the same time, updates in equipment, such as the standardization of leather upholstery for the top version, add value without a sharp price increase. This could be a strong argument for those torn between the Subaru Solterra and competitors, who often raise prices year after year.
