At the Tokyo auto show, the powerful electric vehicle Subaru STI E-RA was presented. It was created with the aim of breaking the lap record at the Nürburgring.

The record run is planned for 2023. Subaru’s goal is a lap time of 6 minutes 40 seconds.
The new Subaru STI E-RA is equipped with four Yamaha-produced electric motors with a total output of 1088 hp (800 kW) and a 60 kWh battery. Naturally, it features Subaru’s permanent all-wheel drive with torque vectoring.

The five-meter-long car uses carbon fiber in its construction, resulting in a relatively low weight of 1690 kg. In addition, the Subaru supercar received an advanced aerodynamic package with body kit, diffuser, and rear wing.
