Subaru increases prices on its vehicles
Subaru has become the latest manufacturer to announce a significant price increase on its models. Although tariffs are not officially mentioned, the company cites “current market conditions” as the reason. A dealership in Massachusetts reported that starting in June, buyers can expect price hikes ranging from $750 to $2,055 depending on the model.
For example, the American-made Ascent will see an increase of $1,085–$2,055, while the Forester will go up by $1,075–$1,600. The Outback will become more expensive by $1,715–$1,820. The Japanese BRZ and WRX will rise by $2,000, while the Crosstrek and Impreza will increase by $750. The only model to avoid the price hike is the Solterra electric car.
Subaru of America has adjusted its pricing in response to current market conditions. The changes were made to offset increased costs while maintaining a solid value proposition for our customers.

The dealer also noted that these increases may not be enough to cover costs, so additional adjustments may be possible by the end of 2025. Subaru emphasized that the price changes are not related to the country of manufacture, which may be an attempt to avoid political repercussions.
Automakers’ pricing policies remain sensitive to external factors, and Subaru’s increase is just one example of how global economic trends affect the end consumer. Buyers should prepare for further changes in market pricing policies.
