Since 2016, the Turkish company Martur has been producing seats for the Renault car lineup, which was assembled at AvtoVAZ up until May of this year. But from now on, the Russian auto giant will be left without car seats because the Turks are shutting down their production in Russia.
After Renault’s exit, AvtoVAZ retained licenses to produce these cars (now under the Lada brand), but the resumption of production is hampered by the lack of components. In turn, companies that could supply components to the conveyor find themselves in a situation where their products remain in demand.

The head of the local region noted that there are 19 enterprises in the Ulyanovsk region supplying products to the AvtoVAZ conveyor and expressed concern about the prospects of these factories and their staff. We, too, are deeply concerned… by the fact that Russia has still not thought of fitting stools (or even toilets) instead of Turkish seats.
