Tesla Finally Solves Problem Owners Complained About for Years

Tesla’s New Energy Saving Mode

Imagine going on vacation, leaving your Tesla in a parking lot, and returning to find the battery completely drained. This is a rather unpleasant situation that electric vehicle owners have faced for many years. Fortunately, Tesla has finally introduced a solution to this problem—a new mode called Low Power Mode, designed to turn off energy-intensive systems when the car remains stationary for an extended period.

How to Activate the Mode

The energy-saving mode was introduced as part of the 2025.32 software update. It can be activated via the main screen of the multimedia system by navigating to Controls > Charging and enabling the corresponding option. Once activated, the system automatically turns off some of Tesla’s most energy-consuming features.

What Exactly Gets Turned Off

The most important element that is turned off is Sentry Mode. Although this system is useful for recording events around the car while parked, it significantly consumes battery energy. In addition to Sentry Mode, the energy-saving mode also turns off Summon Standby, cabin overheat protection, scheduled preconditioning, camp mode, climate control, heating functions, seat and steering wheel heating, as well as the power outlets in the Cybertruck.

Owners can rest assured: if the energy-saving mode is activated while charging, Sentry Mode continues to operate. Climate control and camp mode also remain active during fast charging.

Connectivity and Accessibility

It is important to note that the energy-saving mode does not make the Tesla less modern. The car remains connected to the network, and owners can access it via the Tesla mobile app. Furthermore, the system continues to automatically regulate the battery temperature to maintain its optimal condition.

Efficiency and Benefit

Tesla has not provided exact data on how much the new mode will reduce energy consumption, as this depends on individual usage conditions, such as active features and the climatic specifics of the parking location. However, undoubtedly, this feature will be useful for owners who previously worried about battery drain after prolonged inactivity.

This innovation demonstrates how Tesla continues to improve its products, taking customer feedback into account. The energy-saving mode not only solves a specific problem but also highlights the importance of efficient energy management in modern electric vehicles, which is particularly relevant given the growing popularity of electric cars worldwide.
