Toyota, which is actually a BMW but masquerades as a Toyota, which is a BMW

Japanese enthusiast creates a unique BMW Z4 with the face of a Toyota Supra

Enthusiasts have long dreamed of a convertible version of the Toyota Supra, which, as we know, is based on the BMW Z4. Although Toyota has never released such a model, one Japanese craftsman decided to bring this idea to life. He replaced the front end of the BMW Z4 with parts from the Supra, and the result turned out to be impressive.

Despite the fact that both models share a common platform, their designs are very different. To achieve the desired effect, it was necessary to replace the Z4’s bumper, headlights, fenders, and hood with similar elements from the Supra. It was a complex job, but the result was worth the effort—the car’s new look appears harmonious.

arde GMW – Concept Model

Yesterday, we unveiled it at a certain location.

It’s a completely stock model.

Opinions may vary, but

it’s one way to enjoy it.

Why is this project special?

The design of the BMW Z4 has always been considered more refined compared to the Supra, especially due to the cleaner lines of the side panels. The fact that the Supra’s front end blends so well with the Z4’s body speaks to the successful vision of the project’s creator. The lines of the Toyota hood seamlessly continue the distinctive curves of the Z4’s doors, making the car look cohesive.

Unfortunately, the Toyota Supra will soon cease production. Recently, the company introduced the final versions of this model for Japan and Europe. In Europe and Japan, the 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine received an upgrade to 429 hp, while the US retained the previous version with 382 hp.

This project serves as a reminder of how creative car enthusiasts can be when manufacturers don’t fulfill their dreams. Although there was never an official convertible version of the Supra, this custom build proves that the idea was viable.
