In 2020, 353.4 thousand used cars were registered in Ukraine for the first time. According to Autoportal citing “Ukrautoprom”, this is 15% less than in 2019, but still four times more than new cars for the past year. In other words, second-hand cars occupy 80% of the Ukrainian car market. 
In December, there was a real boom in demand for used cars – more than 40 thousand were registered (an increase of 31%) and this is the best figure in the “secondary market” for the last 22 months. For comparison, slightly less than 10 thousand new cars were sold in the same period.
The most popular used cars in Ukraine for 2020 have also been named. The leader remains unchanged – Volkswagen (58,518 registered cars). In second place is Ford (33,811 cars), and third is Skoda (28,782). The top five is rounded out by Renault (27,771 units) and Opel (19,668).
