Four-Door Cars You Didn’t Know About

About ten years ago, sports cars were in no way associated with 4-door vehicles. But after the appearance of the Porsche Panamera and the like, the four-door segment has somewhat evolved. Nevertheless, there are cars that are simply unimaginable with four doors. And yet they exist! Here’s a list of the top five most unexpected 4-door cars, whose existence is harder to believe than in ghosts.

Porsche 911 Troutman & Barnes

This is what the great-grandfather of the Panamera looks like, and its name is Porsche 911 Four-door Sedan. It was created by the efforts of a Texas Porsche dealer under the leadership of its head, William Dick. He molded such a four-door Porsche from two 911 coupes. What do you think?

4-Door Ford Mustang

This unusual 4-door coupe was created in the distant 60s.

And although it died without being born, now Ford has suddenly remembered it, and the management is considering creating a modern interpretation of the Mustang for the whole family.

Lamborghini Estoque

Well, you’ve definitely seen this car in pictures since it’s quite recent. And, by the way, it’s as troubled as the 4-door concept Bugatti Galibier. The management of the Italian brand was either determined to bring it to life or, on the contrary, stated the impossibility of producing a family Lamborghini, and now the Italians are saying again that they might release a competitor to the Panamera and Maserati, which will be as successful as the new Lamborghini Urus crossover.

Corvette C3 California Custom Coach

Like the 4-door Porsche 911, the four-door Corvette was made in the USA.

The California Custom Coach company made one such car, which required cutting two serial two-doors. The price turned out to be three times higher than the traditional Chevrolet Corvette, so the project was quickly closed and forgotten.

Ferrari 400i

You’ll be surprised, but about three thousand of these 400s were produced from the early 70s to the late 80s! Already in the base, it had air conditioning, an automatic, a cool audio system, etc. Yes, it looks like a chisel, but 5 seconds to a hundred and almost 400 horsepower is quite something.

These cars are now available for sale, priced at 50-70 thousand euros. But there’s a catch; we’re talking about a two-door coupe, and only one sedan was made. Cool four-doors? Definitely, but this is exactly the case when CASCO insurance is simply necessary.
