In 2020, Ukrainians bought 7,455 electric cars. As reported by AutoPortal with reference to the association “Ukrautoprom”, this is only 1% less than the previous year.
In December, there was even a 7% increase in sales compared to the same period in 2019, with 598 electric cars registered. As before, over 90% of electric cars in Ukraine are used. Their average age is 7 years.
It is also known that 7,095 passenger electric cars, 359 commercial ones, and one electric bus were purchased.
The most popular electric cars in Ukraine have also been revealed. The leader remains Nissan Leaf with 2,180 cars sold. The TOP-5 most popular electric cars in Ukraine are as follows:
- Nissan Leaf – 2,180 cars
- Tesla Model 3 – 865
- Tesla Model S – 753
- Chevrolet Bolt – 474
- Tesla Model X – 366
In the commercial segment, the undisputed leader is Renault Kango Z.E. (304 cars).
The most popular new electric car is the Audi e-tron crossover, which found 122 buyers.
