The new Toyota GR Yaris 2020 is fully unveiled. The compact Toyota hot hatch was shown at the Tokyo tuning show and will be produced in small series.
Toyota GR Yaris was developed by the factory team Gazoo Racing, which prepared the championship rally Yaris WRC of Ott Tänak. The hatchback is equipped with a 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with 261 hp and 360 Nm, making it one of the most powerful in the B-class.
With a 6-speed manual transmission, the Toyota Yaris hot hatch reaches 230 km/h, but the time to reach 100 km/h has not been announced yet. The main feature of the GR Yaris is its all-wheel drive, which can be supplemented with front and rear self-locking differentials for an additional cost.
Naturally, Gazoo Racing worked on the suspension and steering. Additionally, large brake discs with diameters of 356 mm in the front and 297 mm in the rear are installed.
The Toyota GR Yaris can be recognized by its widened fenders, body kit, and large front air intake.
There’s also a roof spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, sports bucket seats have appeared.
