Tragedy in the Family Stopped Time at the Alfa Romeo Dealership, and the Cars Still Stand Untouched

Abandoned Alfa Romeo Dealership in Belgium

In Belgium, there is an abandoned Alfa Romeo dealership that ceased operations after the tragic death of its owner. More than a dozen cars were left on the premises and inside the neglected showroom, covered in dust. The story of this place was told by YouTuber The Bearded Explorer, who filmed a video tour.

The footage shows how time and neglect have taken their toll: weeds have grown through the asphalt, signs have faded, and the aquarium in the showroom has long been empty. Among the cars left behind are several Alfa Romeo models, including a 166 with a Busso V6 engine, a 156 GTA, as well as classics like the Giulia, Alfetta, and others. Cars of other brands are also on the premises, such as a Smart Forfour and an MG TF.

The Mystery of the Abandoned Dealership

Interestingly, some of the cars look quite well-kept—clean interiors, inflated tires. This suggests that someone occasionally visits here. As a neighbor told the YouTuber, the dealership was previously run by her husband, who died in a crash nearby. Their son comes by periodically to clean up, but the office has remained untouched for years.

“The family does not want to sell the building or the remaining cars. Even the car in front of the entrance belongs to a customer who never came back for it,” The Bearded Explorer recounts.

It is unknown if any of these cars are still operational, but if they were ever to hit the market, Alfa Romeo enthusiasts would certainly be interested in them. This place remains frozen in time, a reminder of a past that doesn’t want to disappear.

Although the condition of some cars offers hope for restoration, most of them would require serious work. Perhaps one day this collection will find new owners, but for now, it remains a piece of history preserved by the family.
