Three Taycans weren’t enough, so he ordered a unique fourth from Porsche

Exclusive Taycan Turbo GT by Sonderwunsch: Gold in the Details

Porsche usually showcases extreme 911 models created under the Sonderwunsch program, but it turns out that even owners of the fully electric Taycan can pay extra to make their EV truly unique. That’s exactly what the owner of this car did.

Porsche notes that the Swiss client already had not one, not two, but three Taycans in his garage before ordering this flagship Turbo GT. That’s enough to run a small fleet, and the fourth car now becomes the flagship of the collection. Why one person needs four such cars is a matter between the buyer and his accountant, not us.

Unique color and exterior design

Working with Porsche Centre Lugano in Switzerland and holding several meetings with Sonderwunsch experts, the owner chose a stunning color called Nordic Gold Metallic from the Paint to Sample program for his elegant sedan. This color first appeared on the 997-generation 911 and was inspired by the warm gold hue that Porsche offered in the early 1970s.

It suits the Taycan extremely well, emphasizing the superb lines of its body, including the wide rear fenders and aggressive hood. Gloss black elements on the side mirrors, pillars, and small spoiler provide a contrast to the golden hue. The matte black wheels may be a controversial choice, but these 21-inch forged rims on this Porsche will certainly not draw complaints.

Restrained yet refined interior

Compared to some projects we have seen from Porsche’s special order department, including the recent series created to honor the release of ‘Toy Story 5’, the interior of this Taycan is quite restrained. The seats are upholstered in a combination of black/slate-grey Pepita fabric with Pebble Grey leather and black Race-Tex, complemented by Crayon-colored contrast stitching and an embroidered Turbo GT inscription.

Some color accents are still present, notably the outer ring of the Sport Chrono clock, finished in the same Nordic Gold Metallic as the exterior. Light beige seat belts are also fitted, and the 12 o’clock marker on the steering wheel is in Mojave Beige color.

“For many years, the Sonderwunsch program has been the spearhead of our personalization offering,” said Alexander Fabig, Vice President of Product and Personalization at Porsche. “However, customizing a Taycan so extensively at a customer’s request was new territory even for us.”

This case demonstrates that the Sonderwunsch program, traditionally associated with the 911 models, is actively expanding to the brand’s electric lineup. Personalization of electric vehicles is becoming no less important to customers than it is for owners of sports cars with internal combustion engines. The choice of the Nordic Gold Metallic color, which references the brand’s history from the 1970s, underscores the buyer’s desire to combine modern technology with classic Porsche style. The restrained yet meticulously designed interior shows that luxury can be elegant and unobtrusive, focusing on material quality and attention to detail rather than flashy, loud elements.
