New Accessories from Mercedes-AMG
Although Mercedes-AMG is best known for its cars, it also offers various lifestyle products, and here are three of the newest ones. This collection includes a regular wristwatch and two different chronographs that will be perfect for those who want to carry a small piece of AMG with them wherever they go.
Availability and the First Model
These three watch models will be available exclusively through Mercedes-Benz dealerships worldwide. The collection starts with the not very creatively named AMG Automatic Chronograph, Business. It is equipped with a Swiss automatic caliber SW500 movement from Sellita, features mother-of-pearl finishing, and a case back made of sapphire crystal.
Diamonds, Rubies And A Beating V16 Inside One Of The Rarest Watches Ever
The chronograph has a diameter of 43.5 mm, water resistance up to 5 atmospheres, and its movement operates at a frequency of 48,000 vibrations per hour. It also comes standard with a titanium bracelet, the dial is protected by sapphire crystal, has red accents, and a small AMG logo.
Second Model of the Collection
The second watch is known as the AMG Watch, Essentials Chronograph. It is equipped with a Swiss quartz movement Ronda 5030 with a stopwatch function and is made from a combination of titanium and stainless steel. Sapphire crystal is also used, and water resistance is 5 atmospheres. The dial looks quite similar to the business version, including red elements and the AMG badge.
Completing the Collection
The collection is completed by the AMG Watch, Essentials. Mercedes claims it has an “impressive conical shape reminiscent of the aerodynamic rear of the Vision AMG,” although we don’t see it. There is also a black ceramic bezel, a central part made of black stainless steel, and titanium elements. The dial can glow in the dark and offers the same level of water resistance as the two chronographs.
Pricing Policy and Impressions
Reviewing online offers shows that Mercedes dealerships in Europe sell the Business Chronograph for 2500 euros, the Essentials Chronograph for 795 euros, and the more basic version for 750 euros. This is a significant amount for a watch, but obviously much cheaper than buying an AMG car.
These new products highlight the growing trend of automotive brands expanding their product lines beyond vehicles. For brand enthusiasts, such accessories can be a way to express loyalty without the need for major financial investments. However, as with cars, the quality of materials and execution is also important here, which justifies the corresponding pricing policy.
