Creator of the Ford GT and F-150 Raptor is Building His Own Off-Road Hypercar

Startup supercar companies that make big promises appear and often disappear without ever releasing a car, but Jamal Hameedi’s Hameedi Venturo is one we hope sticks around. Why? Because when the guy behind some of the defining sports cars and pickups of the last 20 years tells you he’s building an off-road hypercar, you know the result is going to be explosive.

Hameedi spent nearly three decades at Ford, the second half of which helping create legends like the mid-engine GT, Shelby GT350, F-150 Raptor, Fiesta ST, Focus ST, and Focus RS. He then jumped across the Atlantic to head up JLR’s SVO performance division, creating machines like the Defender Octa – the road (and off-road) going series version of Land Rover’s weapon for the 2026 Dakar rally.

Now Hameedi has teamed up with luxury car expert Dr. Andreas Benziger for a new project that he says will “create an entirely new automotive segment,” and it seems his experience with the GT, Raptor, and Octa will come in handy.

At this stage, there are fewer details than panel gaps on a Lexus, and the only published image contains no cars, just a selection of landscapes including deserts and snow-capped mountains. The company’s official press release states that its first car is “an off-road hypercar that combines extreme on-road performance with radical go-anywhere capability and comfort.”

“We are creating something that simply hasn’t existed before,” Hameedi said.

Sources close to the project told Carscoops that it is backed by some “huge” automotive companies, and that the finished car will be a multi-million dollar machine produced in tiny numbers. We understand it’s not simply a lifted supercar like a Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, but a car built from the ground up to deliver hypercar speed on asphalt and serious capability off it. We’re told more information is expected in early 2026.

“This project embodies everything I believe about the future of luxury exploration,” says Benziger. “The automotive world is evolving, but the passion for driver experiences will never fade.”

Are you hoping to see a crossover in the style of the Ferrari Purosangue, but with even more off-road ability, like in our Ford GT SUV rendering below, or something crazier, like the Marsien by Marc Philipp Gemballa? Leave a comment and let us know what you think Hameedi should build.
