Powerful Upgrade for BMW M4 from G-Power
Convertible as a Base for Tuning
Convertibles are often overlooked by tuners when it comes to high-performance BMW cars. Coupes, sedans, and wagons usually attract the main attention, while the M4 Convertible remains in the shadows. This makes it the perfect canvas for G-Power’s latest development – a convertible transformed into a car capable of competing with supercars.
Engine Technical Improvements
The upgrades start with the engine, as they should. G-Power installed a new carbon fiber air intake, HJS downpipes, and a muffler with custom exhaust tips, allowing the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine to breathe freely. Combined with engine software tuning, the engine now produces 700 hp and 850 Nm of torque. The tuner did not release any acceleration figures but stated that the car can now reach a top speed of 310 km/h.
Aesthetic Enhancements
The car, which G-Power calls the G4M Bi-Turbo Convertible, received more than just engine upgrades. It is also equipped with numerous lightweight carbon fiber components, starting with a completely new hood featuring numerous ventilation holes to cool the engine bay. Additionally, G-Power installed a carbon fiber engine cover with orange accents.
Additional Carbon Details
Other carbon fiber elements can be seen on the front bumper and the radiator grille, which now resembles the design of the CS model’s grille. The M4 Convertible also received a set of Hurricane RR alloy wheels measuring 21×9 at the front and 21×10.5 at the rear.
Availability for Other Models
If you are not an M4 Convertible owner, don’t worry, as all the engine upgrades made for this car can be installed on all other versions of the M3 and M4. Furthermore, there is a 700 hp package for the smaller M2, which is sure to make that car particularly fiery.
This work by G-Power demonstrates why convertibles deserve more attention in the automotive world. Transforming the M4 into a car with supercar-like performance pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved with a, at first glance, less popular body type. The technical improvements combined with aesthetic changes create a harmonious package that could interest even those who traditionally prefer closed-top models.
