by G-class – also known as Gelandewagen, Cube, or G-Wagen. Gelandewagen for Ukraine is like lard and horilka for a Zaporozhian Cossack. Since the 90s, the Mercedes G-Class has been a symbol of affluence and permissiveness. And, of course, it evokes associations with the ‘serious guys’ for many.
Despite the impressive price tag (up to half a million euros), in our country, the Gelandewagen was bought and is still being purchased in astonishing quantities. This applies to both the secondary market and the new car market. It is enough to know that in 2020 alone, nearly one and a half hundred G63 AMG were sold! And this is despite a price of 6 million hryvnias and without taking into account the ‘regular’ versions of the new Gelandewagen starting at 4 million UAH.
