by 55 vintage cars gathered on October 25 at Sofiivska Square in Kyiv. There, Motorist Day was celebrated. 
The meeting of retro car owners in the city center on the last Sunday of October has become a tradition for several decades. During the gathering, restorers, club representatives, and car enthusiasts communicate and get acquainted with each other’s techniques. 
At Sofiivska Square, the OldCarService technical classics club organized the event with like-minded individuals for the first time.
Thus, it was possible to showcase retro cars among historical architecture to a larger audience. 
Among the cars presented were many GAZs and ZAZs. Three ZAZs of different models and years of production were among the first to arrive. These were the “Zaporozhets” ZAZ-966V, ZAZ-968A, and “Yalta.” This was the name given to ZAZ-965s, which were produced at the factory for sale abroad. The models of the Zaporizhia car factory were exhibited in a separate exposition to mark the 60th anniversary of the start of mass car production in Ukraine.
It was specifically the “Zaporozhets.”
Apart from Soviet cars, there were also French, German, Italian, Czech, and American cars. The oldest among them are the De Soto S6 from 1939, the Opel Super 6 from 1940, and the Skoda Popular from 1939. For the first time, a Peugeot-203 from 1949 attended the event. The car once belonged to a dealership selling cars of this brand in Kyiv. Later, it ended up in a private collection.
Among the motorcycles, one could see the “Moscow” motorcycle from the 1940s and the V-902 moped from 1958. It is the first model from the Lviv motorcycle factory. It has its “original” paint, chrome, and all components.
