Cadillac XT4 in China: Available Models and Prices
Although production of the Cadillac XT4 in the U.S. ceased back in January, this crossover continues to be manufactured in China. The new 2025 model is already available to Chinese buyers, and at a significantly lower price than in the U.S. For example, the base version in China starts at 159,900 yuan (approximately $22,200), while in the States, the minimum price begins at $40,795.
Technical Features and Trim Levels
The Chinese version of the XT4 features the same technologies as the American one, including a 33-inch display, heated seats, and a noise-cancellation system. However, there are differences: 20-inch wheels and two engine options with a 48-volt hybrid system are available.
In the U.S., the XT4 was only offered with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, while in China, buyers can choose between 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter units.
The flagship version in China starts at 189,900 yuan (~$26,300), which is still significantly cheaper than the top trim in the U.S. ($45,290). This price difference is explained by fierce competition in the Chinese market, where GM is trying to maintain its position.
Interestingly, even with lower prices, Chinese buyers receive additional options such as seat massage and larger wheels. This shows that manufacturers are increasingly adapting their models to the needs of specific markets, especially where competition is highest.
