A rare example of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140 with minimal mileage has been put up for sale in Germany. The car has only driven about 2000 km and is preserved in almost factory condition. It is a diesel version in a cherry color, which is extremely rare. Blogger Roma Urraco writes about this on Facebook.
This W140 is known among enthusiasts as the “Boar.” Most of these cars have high mileage, as they were actively used for years. Therefore, a specimen with such low mileage is considered an exception even for the collector’s market.
Diesel “Boar” Mercedes-Benz: A Rare Version
The car belongs to the S300 Turbodiesel modification with a 3.0-liter diesel engine producing 177 hp. This particular version was valued for its high reliability and moderate fuel consumption. In total, only 7,583 units of such diesel W140s were produced.
Due to the durable engine and robust construction, most diesel W140s have driven hundreds of thousands of kilometers over their years of service. Finding a similar car with a mileage of just a few thousand kilometers is considered a great rarity.
Condition and Features
The presented sedan has retained its original appearance and standard equipment without signs of intensive use. The cherry-colored body emphasizes the model’s status and further distinguishes it among other W140s.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class model in the W140 body remains a symbol of 1990s engineering. The combination of minimal mileage, a diesel engine, and rare execution makes this car particularly valuable for connoisseurs of classic Mercedes.
