A rare 2009 Maybach 57 S Xenatec Coupe has been listed for sale in Germany, having returned to the country at the end of 2025 after spending nearly 10 years in Japan. The car has a mileage of only 12,980 km and is one of a series of eight vehicles produced. The car is listed for auction on the Mechatronik website.

The coupe, built on a two-door body based on the Maybach 57 S, was created by the German company Xenatec Group from Weinsberg. The vehicle is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 twin-turbo engine producing 612 hp and a five-speed automatic transmission. Originally, the car was assembled as a sedan in 2009 and delivered by the Berlin branch of Mercedes-Benz on February 8, 2011.

In 2010, Xenatec Group announced the development of a luxury coupe based on the Maybach 57 S in collaboration with Daimler and Maybach. The company specializes in special vehicles and small-series body production. Designer Fredrik Burchhardt, who previously created the Maybach Exelero, was involved in the project.

Converting the four-door sedan into a coupe required significant structural changes. The B-pillar was moved back approximately 20 cm, which allowed for convenient access to the rear seats and lengthened the side line. Xenatec created new elongated front doors with frameless windows and completely rebuilt the roof and window trim. The rear fenders were widened, wheel arches adapted, and sills and bumpers were modified.

The first prototype was completed at the end of 2010, and the public presentation took place in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show. Xenatec planned to produce up to 100 units at a price of around 675,000 euros. However, in 2012, the Maybach brand ceased to exist, which disrupted plans for series production. Instead of the planned 100 units, only eight cars were built.

The coupe has retained its original color combination and is in as-new condition. The price of the car is available upon request.
