Military Vehicle Fell from a Wall in Seattle
An unusual accident involving a military vehicle occurred in Seattle. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which broke through a fence, crossed a small road, and fell from a wall onto 38th Street. Despite serious damage to the vehicle and trailer, the injuries of those involved in the incident were minor.
According to local police, the military truck was traveling eastbound on Interstate 90 when it veered to the right. The consequences of the accident look impressive – the front wheel on the passenger side and the suspension were completely destroyed, and the trailer overturned and crushed the cab.
This happened just a bit ago. This military vehicle pulling a trailer was on EB 90, drifted right, went off the roadway and crashed over the wall into SE 38th St in the east gate area of Bellevue. Two minor injuries and no other vehicles involved.
Aftermath of the Accident
Photos from the scene show that the impact was so strong that the vehicle’s iron frame tore out a chunk of asphalt. Local military personnel quickly arrived on the scene to secure the equipment, and the investigation is being handled by the Washington State Patrol.
Witnesses say the incident could have had much more tragic consequences. An eyewitness to the accident noted that their car exited the tunnel just seconds before the military equipment fell. If it had happened a little later, the consequences could have been catastrophic.
Such cases remind us of the importance of following road safety rules, even when it comes to special equipment. Although military vehicles are designed for extreme conditions, the person behind the wheel must always be attentive to details and traffic circumstances.
