A Ghost Car Dealership Found in Europe with Unused Old Volvos

In Belgium, near the city of Malmedy, there is an abandoned Volvo dealership. It has been non-operational for at least 30 years, yet it hasn’t been looted or neglected.

Moreover, behind the glass of the showroom, old Volvo 240s still stand. They are covered in dust, yet are excellently preserved and in the condition of new cars. For some reason, the cars turned out to be of no interest to anyone.

Judging by the assortment, the Volvo dealership closed down at the end of the 80s or early 90s, as such Volvo 240s were manufactured until 1993. In the interiors of some cars, old promotional brochures and magazines have been preserved.

Currently, it is unknown why the premises were not cleared after the dealership closed, but the fact that the building has stood untouched for over 30 years is striking. Although it’s nothing unusual in Europe – in Germany, for instance, there is an abandoned Lada dealership.
