In a world where even tractors are asking for automatics, and manual transmissions are becoming exotic, the Japanese from the Crewch atelier have gone against the tide. They installed on the Nissan GT-R R35… yes, that very “stick” that people had almost begun to forget about.
For the first time in the 17-year history of the model, someone dared to do what even Nissan itself didn’t—gift the R35 a classic manual. Work on the transmission lasted a year, and the result was a unique GT-R with a 6-speed Getrag 233 gearbox from the previous generation R34. And the most interesting part—the all-wheel drive was preserved!
But it wasn’t without sacrifices. Due to the incompatibility of the new transmission with the electronics, the stability and traction control systems had to be disabled. So now, this GT-R is a true wolf without an electronic leash.
Crewch doesn’t plan to mass-produce the conversion—only by pre-order, and only for those who miss the feeling of a direct connection with the car. The price of such pleasure is $45,000, not including the GT-R itself.
