Catalyst Removal and Particulate Filter Cutting: Is There an Alternative?

With the influx of cars from Europe, more Ukrainians have encountered a problem that often arises unexpectedly for many. We are talking about such a phenomenon as the clogging of the particulate filter (DPF) and the failure of the catalyst (catalytic converter). The solution is replacement, but such a pleasure is not affordable for everyone. After all, for example, particulate filters can cost thousands of dollars! However, our people always try to ‘outsmart the system.’ In such cases, car owners by hook or by crook try to cut out the catalyst or particulate filter.

This leads to frightening negative consequences and a whole host of problems – from acrid smoke from the exhaust pipe to a significant increase in fuel consumption and the appearance of errors in the system.

And if air pollution, unfortunately, worries few people in Ukraine, the car’s voraciousness makes one immediately seek solutions to the new problem. But it should not be forgotten that since 2020, mandatory technical inspections have been introduced in Ukraine. In addition, selective exhaust checks (still selective) at the border can lead to difficulties. This service is also in high demand among truck drivers who travel to Europe, as there are huge fines for emissions violations there.

Is there an alternative to catalyst removal and particulate filter cutting? In fact, there is, but not everyone is aware of it. It is about the European practice of cleaning catalysts and particulate filters, which from recent times is offered in Ukraine by the first and only certified manufacturer of cleaning machines in the world. We are talking about the company DPFTech, representing the Italian manufacturer of innovative Italian equipment in Ukraine. At present, the new service for Ukraine can be used throughout the country.

Either come to the service or even send by mail. The cost of cleaning a passenger car is 2500 UAH, trucks – 7000 UAH, which is several times cheaper than replacing and much better than removing the filter or catalyst, as the representative of the Italian company guarantees cleaning up to 98% of soot and ash! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQBMgpp5H8I
