How an SUV for Deputies’ Underachieving Children Looks

In our country, the best-selling cars are crossovers. In May alone, four SUV models made it to the TOP-5 bestsellers list. In fact, there are almost as many Bentley Bentaygas off-road as there are Cayennes here, and buying an off-road Rolls-Royce or Lamborghini is almost impossible even if you have the required amount. Simply put, Ukraine is the country of crossovers and SUVs. If children were promised Volgas during the Soviet Union, today’s students of officials are willing to chew on the granite of science (or at least take a bite of it) for decent crossovers.

But we won’t show you various Rangers and the like, better take a look at the SUV for deputies’ underachieving children:

Yes-yes, it’s a Toyota Land Cruiser, a hundred series. But it’s not old, it’s new, and as you can see, shortened. Looks like a short dachshund or a cropped articulated bus… Anyway, and to be serious (we’re such jokers), the short Land Cruiser is quite a practical vehicle because thanks to its short base, it can be driven off-road even more briskly and cheerfully. In fact, this was the idea of a company from the UAE, which presented the short version of the Toyota LC100 there.

After all, whoever is shorter drives off-road without worrying! Well, unless in the bathhouse.

Technically, the short Cruiser is more similar to the LC 105 than to the hundred. It is maximally simplified and equipped with a naturally aspirated 1FZ 4500 EFI gasoline engine with a volume of 4.5 liters. This is the same engine that was installed on the LC80 and Land Cruiser 105.

The power is not reported, but it is unlikely to be more than 200 horses unless someone did some modifications. Although you can sell the catalyst and solve the issue of power and additional funds for tuning. How many seats are in the shorty? There are five, but the rear row can be folded to make room for luggage or sleep, as you can fit there diagonally, after all.

Speaking of short modifications of SUVs, there have been quite a few made and modified.

Shortened Pajero, short-wheelbase G-Wagon and Defender, as well as Nissan Patrol and the same Toyota Prado 120. But for some reason, the cropped hundred seems something for a real gourmand. It’s not a Cruiser, but some kind of Cruzer. By the way, have you seen the cheapest Land Cruiser in Ukraine, costing comparable to the top-priced Nissan Qashqai?
